17 inch et 35 work?

I know et 35 is bad because our cars have >40 offset.

But these are 17, does that make a difference?
on stock bmw sport suspension

Like their style, and low weight for the price as well.

Info: TSW nurburging

17" 5x120 8 et 35

On a stock suspension I think they'll fit.

This car has square 17x8 ET 45: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...&postcount=311

So you'll just pushing out by 10 mm. You'll stick out a bit, but with the stock suspension you won't rub on the fenders judging by the gap between the wheels/tires and the fenders in the above link.

Isn't that per wheel? So 4 x 1340 = 5360 lbs. Even with three wheels on and magically balancing, you'd still be above the load rating. The 128i only weighs 3200 lbs! What car weighs 1340 lbs?? lol

thats true. Although I am not sure how the phyiscs plays out. When you are hard cornering(i.e track), aren't you putting a lot of load on one wheel?

I thought it was bad because i was looking at other rims and they have a load rating of 1800 per wheel.

lol im a total noob. first rims i am ever gonna buy for a car and I just wanna make sure i don't mess up xD

Apex Arc-8's have a 1500 load rating. And I think Forgestar F14s even have a 1200 load rating! When you're cornering hard, I don't think you're transferring quite as much of the weight to the other wheel as you think And I'm sure the load rating also takes turns into account. It's federally mandated and I'm imagining it would be very conservative to avoid potential legal issues.
