SouthernBM-Authorised Dinan Dealers

Hi All,

Just letting you know that SouthernBM have become an Authorised Dinan dealer and there are other dealers being set up in other states in Australia right now. You will see advertising about this very soon. I am a stocking dealer, so all those carbon Air boxes, oil coolers, strut braces i will have in stock from possibly next week. As a dealer, I also have their tuning device so will be able to offer Dinan Tuning in house together with the other flash tuning i currently offer.

Just thought you guys would like to know first.

I'd consider moving my meth kit if I could get my hands on the Dinan intake. How much are you selling them for Andrew? Any opening specials?

Potentially interested in potentially the Dinan n55 intake, if there is one?

Very cool. Dinan makes a nice bit of kit. One of the club members has the airbox for his 130i.

Update for Australia, final T&C to be settled but Dinan will back new car warranty for Australia.
"If your vehicle is currently covered by the vehicle manufacturer's new car limited warranty, Dinan products are warranted for the remaining term of the vehicle manufacturer's new car limited warranty"

Andrew,

Not to nit-pick but that does NOT say that the OEM components of the car are warranted if BMW deems that a Dinan part has caused a fault with other parts of the car.

My understanding (which could be wrong) was that that's what Dinan offer in the US...

T&C's coming, i just wanted to let you guys know, as these events come to hand.
From Dinan website,
The Authorized Dinan Dealer will, without charge for parts or labor, repair or replace the defective Dinan component(s), as well as any original vehicle manufacturer's component(s) that may have been directly affected by a Dinan component, using new or authorized remanufactured parts.

Just finding it very pricey for the local market, and potential customers point out to me that they think the pricing is too high. I have spoken with Dinan regarding their pricing but we can't work that out until they come here to visit me. They are covering consequential damages if anything were to go wrong but that isn't enough. To me it seems pricing is the hold up on people pulling the trigger.

We have another tune option to flash directly to the ECU from our German tuner, but potential customers also are hesitant to spend that money with me either. You have to remove the inlet manifold to get the ECU out.

Maybe it is me and how i go about it? Maybe it is i attract the wrong 'type' of client, maybe just the pricing is too high across the board, i am unsure. I can't seem to put my finger on it. Maybe i don't understand the N55 market.

We know of Procedes in local cars and they have had varying issues on N55's. I have a customer with a 135i with a procede on it and a power kit and he has no issues to report.

So that's just my take on it at the moment, i wish i had the all important answers to find the balance that suits my local market. I see N55 as the way forward as BMW roll it out on new cars, but can't find something that suits me. It may be that when the tuners can write via OBD then the pricing will start to come down as there is more competition and then it might make more sense to me. I have heaps of N55 enquiries just need the right product for the market.

Is the Cobb available for N55? To me it is the custom tune that is important, and really that needed to be supported locally.

Hi Andrew, can you please fire me an email or PM of the prices for N55 Dinan bits? Intake and stage2 tune especially. I haven't contacted you for a while and thought I'll post here to give this thread a bump as well!

Hi there, just the tune is available, so no changes to the specs that you previously had.
