Shipping 1 Series to PR...?

Hello 1 Addicts!

Has anyone had the experience of shipping a 1 series to Puerto Rico?

My company brought my 325 touring from FL a couple of years ago. Besides paying a company to bring your car over the island ($1000) you have to pay taxes to "Hacienda" the local IRS.

I though about buying a 1 series in FL and just did a rough calculation for a 2009 128i and taxes were a bit over $5000. I know 1 series are rare here in the island but those taxes just kill the deal. This is were you can check how much taxes will be, you need the VIN https://siscon.hacienda.gobierno.pr/...AW951Form.aspx
