I want to do the entire thing front Pass & Driver as well. I do not know %/ I got 5% and that was too damn dark, could not even see out at night LOL.

I would want to go like 15% or 20%...my car is black on black. What would he recommend?

Before you guys go tint your front windows... you better renew your POV registration document for two or three years. Once you tint you windows... you will fail your next POV inspection on base. And lord help you IF the Polizei catch you.

Yeah Dack, that's what we were saying. Making sure everyone knows the consequences if you do the front windows.

X, I got 20 percent all around, there are plenty of pics of my Space Gray 135 from the Welt meet for you to gauge the idea of it. Also on the cover pic on the FB group.

i think 2 years is the max you can do unless the car is brand new....but im not sure.

Wiesbaden let me do 2 years on my car when new, said I could only do yearly after that.
Guess I'll know for sure when I go for re-inspection in June.

From what I understand, new cars can get 3 years... after that you can get 2 years for cars less than 10 years old. After that it's gotta be every year.

I think I'm leaning towards 30%... I think darker than that will be *too* dark on AW with a black interior.

I guess you are talking about US inspection, aren't you? German TÜV is 3yr for the new car and then every 2yrs, regardless of the age. Exceptions are rentals, cabs and other things.

Yes, the inspection place on Base. We get German plates but are not in the German system. We have our own system.

Yeah I know that, I just wasn't sure wether you were talking about TÜV or US inspection, as I thought that the tinted front windows are ok in the US, at least in some states, and figured thats why it would be legal for you guys here too!?

Im pretty sure this information is wrong. it's 3 years for a new car and after that you can do 2 years..

I think you are correct on that. I have seen many new cars with a three year registration card - although I don't see it in B&W here...

When I did mine back in 2009 when I got my 1, I could only do 2 years. And that was in Ktown and Vilseck/Graf in 2010.

I've had mine tinted for about a year and a half. I got extended here in Germany for another year so come November, Im going to have to take the tint off to get the car inspected. No big deal though.

Speaking of tint... who owns the 1M that is blacked out with a USA* plate QQ ?? That tint is dark as hell!

That looks like it but I can't tell from the rear because the taillights were tinted really dark. If they are then that is it.

Hey guys, I need you all to post on here what all you want done for the tinting (i.e. All 5 windows? Or just 3), as well as what % you want before I can set anything up for sure.

He has to go through his stuff and make sure he has enough tint before he can commit to anything.

Basically, if you have a white car, if you do 20%, it's going to look dark as shit. So go lighter like 35%. If you have a dark car, like mine, or black, 20% looks great.

Up to you all, but I need to know before anything gets set in stone.

I want all 5 windows at 20%...I think. Can you tell ask him if he can bring extra for 15%, for example.
