Fedex Pissed On My New Trunk

Ordered a Slek Designs CSL style carbon fiber trunk from HPAutosports. for my E82 135i.

Initial order date was Feb. 6, 2018.
It finally shipped on April, 11, 2018
Received it today April, 17, 2018.

The box was literally fucked up, and of course, the trunk is fucked up too.

The box and the item reeked of piss smell.

Filed a claim with fedex, talked to Harold HP Autosport, Inc., and tried to get in contact with Slek Designs as well.

Thanks Harold for all the help and prompt communication. Harold said i might be getting a replacement.

Update. Harold @ HPAutowerks contacted owner of Slek. Looks like i will be getting a replacement in 2-3weeks. Much better than 2month it took originally.

Glad to hear they are fixing the issue. Take pictures of how it arrives this time around. I'm interested to see if they change up how it's packaged.

No urine involved with my story, but I ordered an exhaust for my E30 last year. It was drop shipped to me, and arrived wrapped in a single layer of cellophane. Needless to say, it had numerous areas of damage and rattled the first time I picked it up. Unbelievable what some vendors/shippers think they can get away with.

Fedex dont even want the damaged trunk back lol.

The only damage is the right corner by the rear windshield. still seals.

If you are planning on painting it, it should look mint. Pickup only. NYC

There's two different "CSL" style trunks that I've seen. One the more traditional rounded and the other is squared off on the sides and flat at the top of the duckbill. Which one do you have? Pics would be great. I'm interested if it's the more squared off one

That was very poorly packaged! I experienced that issue when I ordered a CF diffuser for my M4. The FedEx driver even made me open the box to check out the contents before he left. The part looked fine until I touched one of the mounting tabs and it was just dangling and about to come off. The driver ended up taking the package back. I contacted the business where I purchase the part and they sent me a replacement. The second time it was packaged in a very sturdy cardboard box, not the flimsy kind that they used the first time.
