I've been lurking around the Ordering forum for a while in preparation of ordering a 135i, and seeing as how that process is nearly finished, I thought it was time to start socializing in the location specific forum.

Anyway, I'm Tom, I live in the Bronx and work/go to school in Manhattan. This will be my third BMW, the first being an 84' 633CSi that I bought in high school and sold when i couldn't afford parts/maintenance and the second being my current car, an 07' E92 328xi.

Looking forward to receiving the new 1er right in time for snow and inclement weather sometime in December.

Made the right choice in getting the 135! Based on my experience with the car, you will enjoy every mile you put on the car. Keep us posted... Are you doing ED?

Us NY guys are pretty chill. you should come to the meets...and the autoxs at Nassau Collisium.

I'm not going to do ED unfortunately, although it was a consideration. The pictures some guys have taken and posted of their ED trips look amazing and its definitely something I'll do on a future BMW purchase.

I'd love to get in on a meet, but I've always had this weird sense of buyers remorse for getting a 328xi instead of the 335i. Where do you guys typically meet up anyway? I've gone to a few meets on Central Ave in Yonkers, but I haven't been in two years and those were usually civics/rsx meets with the odd e46 or e36 m3. Oh, and for AutoXing, one of my best friends has been trying to get me to autocross the 3er for the last 3 years and I've resisted because of the automatic and lack of the sports package. It just didn't seem right to subject it to that kind of flogging. That will not be the case with the 1er.

But yea, I'll have the deal done and the order in by the end of the week if all goes well, I'm just waiting to see if anyone can beat Invoice + 1k, which doesn't seem too likely. Anyone here done business at BMW of Manhattan, BMW of Westchester, or BMW of Greenwich?

I did business with Hassel BMW out on the Island. I got a great price and their service center is amazing.

I went with Greenwich last time around. They have great service, and are a Dinan dealer to boot.
