1M battery options

I did the trunk conversion on my 135i and need to buy a smaller battery, what are some good options? Is anyone running Optima?

I know you have to code for battery changes, i got the stuff to do that.

There is a poster on here who put an optima battery in theirs. I'll look for it for you.

Most go with Braille lightweight batteries. I ordered my mounting kit and original battery from Harold at HPA and had my local coder code for it a couple of weeks later. Was and easy install, no issues except as the battery aged I'd get more low battery warnings, especially in the winter. Often the clock would reset.

My original Braille failed this summer and I replaced it with a somewhat less expensive but same stat battery from BatteriesPlus. I did not recode at this replacement. So far so good.

Btw, one thing to watch out for that I've done twice is do not open or especially after opening try to close your doors while the battery is nearly dead or disconnected. The auto raise system will have to be reset if you do that.
