Local shop fail
Hey there,
The story begins at the beginning of February when I bought my car. I needed winter rims and tires. The shop gave me a great deal for 18" ASA rims and new winter tires for 875$ installed. Skip forward to today and I just noticed the front clip edges at the wheel wells are pushed out and no longer flush with the fenders. I had heard rubbing while driving over large bumps in the road but figured it was ice build up. Apparently not, I inspected the body and wheel clearance and it seems that the front tires are actually hitting this area causing minor damage. There is no crack in the bumper, but I will need to take it to a body shop to make it flush again. Do you think I have grounds to complain to the tire shop to pay for the body work? No painting needs to be done, and I'll have to wait to do this until summer weather comes along. |

Absolutely go back and inquire. Any reputable shop will help you with your issue since they recommended the setup.

I am not sure the rim setup on the car currently but it is 225/35/18 I believe. I know the VMR wheels that came with the car clear.
I talked to the shop and they will contact their body shop to fix the issue when I decide to but on the summer wheels. |
