FYI, Michael and I have both sent emails waiting for a reply to secure a spot on 23rd at QR.

What session are you looking at?
Doing the arvo session then drags after. Will get thier early if you guys do the am session.

Great fuel economy considering velocity

That's some nice fuel economy. I've always thought these cars are great on fuel considering how much power they make too.

I'm easy in terms of morning/arvo sessions. If I did the arvo I would definitely stick around for the drags and make a few passes. I'll see if Michael's keen as well. I still haven't paid yet either!

QR event has moved to Lakeside. I've pulled out for now and will hopefully be attending the Dec 11 Lakeside day.

I am still going but would have preferred QR for the ability to do passenger rides.

I will be curious to see how much slower the street tyres are.

I would have like to attend but wasn't expecting Lakeside so soon. I'm waiting for my race lug nuts to show up and then I'm good to go

Are you locked in '86? Only six days to go. Hopefully there's no rain.

Yes I'm locked in but still need to pay. I ordered some lug nuts, studs and brake fluid from the states but the shipment was delayed because the studs are on backorder so they won't get here on time

I hope it doesn't rain.. the forecast doesn't look too good though!

Woo hoo! Just checked the starting list and you're all locked in. We're in different groups though.

I'm about to send an email off and cancel my session. I know it's late notice but I'm not risking it in the rain, especially with the tyres I'll be running It's a real shame! I have been looking forward to this for months!!!

Do you get a refund? I thought once you've paid there are no refunds.

I drove a track day in the rain last year. You can still do it safely and have bucketloads of fun. Actually, in a way it's slightly safer as you know you aren't going to post super fast times, so you don't push for that last tenth. However, if it's belting down then I might be a spectator and wait for standing water to be off the track.

I haven't paid up yet so I'm not sure about refunds. I'm sure once I have some laps and experience I will feel more confident about running the 1 in the wet. However, my RE-11's are a bit worn and can be less forgiving in the rain so I'd rather not risk it. I'm no where near as experienced as the rest of you guys either. I understand I only have control over my car but I would hate for someone else to hit me as well, especially since I'll be running in the beginner class. Plus a few other things have put me off such as my brake fluids, lug studs and nuts not arriving from USA in time either, so I may as well hold off until the next event

How was this track day? I was surprised to wake up to blue skies on Sunday morning but it was pouring down in the city by about lunch time.

Any pics and times? Also any other events over December/January at Lakeside or QR?
