I went on my complimentary BMW Driver Experience day yesterday.... They've upgraded the cars you spend the day in... M3, 428i, and M235i...

Did some of the hot laps and a Motorkhana in the M235i. Was very impressed.

PS: For anyone planning to do one of these, the instructors told me that the will have the new M3/M4 in August.

My mate went on the weekend and said they used the 220i for motorkana, m235i and 428i on the track following the m3 lead cars, then a few passenger laps in the m3. Overall had a really good time. Said he will go back for sure.

Was that for the 2 series day or the Driver Experience Intensive thingy?

No 220i there yesterday and I did at least 10 laps, full pelt(ish) in an M3 - as well as the 428i and the M235i...

ok thanks. i have never taken N54 or N55 in DCT mode round a racetrack and thought the 2 drive day would be good time to do it with BMW Oz cars.... to see how a DCT N55 feels like before they decide on what they put in a M2. Pointless paying and going on track with a 220 and 428 imo. Thanks again.

Not gonna happen.

There are no N55 DCTs any more. The M235i has the 8sp Auto. And I don't think there were ever any N54s with DCT...

That'd be for the 2 series drive day. That's what we did at Phillip Island and it was a fun day.
As for the voucher you get with M cars, a group of us from here upgraded to the M dynamic day, so we spent the entire day in the M3. You should have asked for that. Big thanks to Sparoz for arranging it.

I wanted to but I'd already waited 7 months and there were no spots available in any of the M Dynamic days - if there even were any. Every time I checked there were none scheduled.

It's all good. I'll do that one at some point in the near future but I'll go to Phillip Island.
