Isn't this obvious? The M1 designation has been taken already. Can't use it again. So next logical name = 1M.

Maybe 30 years from now when cars are electric or hybrids, the M hybrid versions of the 3,5,6 will be 3///M, 5///M, 6///M.

I still think since the "A" version of the M1 has already been made, this should be called a "B"///M1.

I was pleasantly surprised tonight at my dealer in Montreal..as I mentioned the next BMW I may purchase would be the 1M/M135/M1 or whatever it will be called if it will be a true M car..he looked at me oddly and said don't you mean the _______ . I was very , very surprised when a wink followed and asked me not to say a word.

I agree with that name.. and will not say a word.. All I will say is WOW!!
