Elsd not working??

Hello guys, today i was trying to do occasional donuts and suddenly realized that one wheel was turning so i knew elsd wasnt working. I also got this yellow light on dashboard (i know airbag light is on and thats because im using 335i steering wheel temperarly until my original one is done from getting ///m stitching. Also dtc was completly tuned off.) I tried looking in the manual to find what this symbol means and i got that drive off assistant failure or brake pas are worn. Anyone experienced this before??

It doesn't work very well. It's also not a real electronic differential (see: torque vectoring, etc etc), it's a glorified brake nanny which slows down the spinning wheel to give the other a chance. Gets overwhelmed quickly even at stock power levels.

I know its not like a proper one but trust me its much better than a completely open diff. I do donuts and hill drifting with this thing all day but today it was totally different the system wasn't working at all.

Ah, that image in the OP wasn't showing for me initially. I think that's your brake fluid level. Since the eDiff is tied to brakes would make sense that the system shut off if your brake fluid is low.

Yeah i had to open my laptop to upload the image so took me a while . So this means low brake fluid? I think it might be the rear pads worn out i have to check them asap because my brakes squeal alot but perform good

Just pop the hood and check the fluid level. It's on the right side of the engine bay, near the firewall/base of windshield.

I just started the car and a warning light came up indicating failure of the suspension control system with the traction control off light on dashboard.

It's barely better than an open diff...sucks a lot of power and overheats the rear brakes. It's also ridiculously inconsistent and will spin the heck out of the inside tire before delivering any decent torque to the outside if it's wet or low grip surface.

Try welding your diff, someone one here did that recently and it's way cheaper than a LSD.

No, best thing I've done to the car yet. I can't recommend the mod highly enough.
