Rear-only PSS ?

Hey guys, my stock rear tires are getting quite slick, while the front ones still have a lot of thread.

I'm definitely going for non-RFTs, probably Michelin PSS, as there are so many good reviews on that tire.

What are your thoughts on only changing the rear tires while keeping the stock RFTs in the front ?
I see people with Nitto drag radials in the back and "normal" tires in the front, so I'm guessing this shouldn't be such a big deal.

Im not an expert but you won't have a problem. If you are changing only one side(like only left or right) that might be a problem but front and rear would be fine.

It will understeer more but be fine. I've driven at the track with mis matched tires front to rear plenty of times, you just need to know what to expect.

Buy FOUR tires. Your gonna hate how the car drives. Plus I don't think any good tire shop would allow you to only buy non RFT for one axle while keeping RFT for the other axle. And even though your fronts are ok right now(thread depth)... I bet they are making some tire noises - bc mine did at half thread life. Sometimes you become use to these noises after awhile. But I bet they are noisy.

PSS tires are a great choice. You will really love them.

Please, if you can't afford the car, sell it.

Thanks for the info. What about the size? I'm thinking about 255 in the rear because right now they can't quite hold the power in end of 1st / beginning of second, especially when using Launch control.
I'm stock (N55) with the performance exhaust; I may buy a JB4 (or the new Hartge tune...) but I'm not planning to go any further than a tune.

Based on your XP will the PSS in 245 be grippy enough?
