We did our ED two years ago. It was a really great adventure. The most difficult parts were keeping it below 155 MPH on the Autobahn and the wait for redelivery.

Cont...
I saw the recent video of the 4 guys who did it and we did similar trip...
Started in Munich (of course)

Munich was cool..

[IMG][/IMG]
But I could'nt stop thinking of this...

[IMG][/IMG]

Then had the most awesome experiance on delivery day.... I even mentioned 1Addicts on the sign in book!

The ED program is so great, it was packed that day, there must of been 200 people watching me do my victory lap!

Anyway here she is....
128i Couple
6 speed MT (the only way!)
M-Sports package! (makes the car) dont it look just like a 35? (opps, sorry)
Love the M-steering wheel!
Heat front seats
Navigation (Thank god had it in Europe or Id still be there!)
BMW Apps.
HK Sound, huge difference between standard and Prem. stereo.
Moon Roof
Blue Tooth
Power Seats

I was a bit disspointed to hear the valet car parker didnt come with the vehicle tho!

On the way to Innsbruck was able to stop and admire her (the car) a bit more!

Innsbruck was ok, matter of fact only "1" spot was left in the parking lot!

Next, day headed to Stelvio. The drive was surreal!

I really wanted to summer ski but it was socked in with fog and the mountain could'nt open. Spent some cool time with the italian ski team. It was cool, but I was like the only one that spoke English.
Oh well, no skiing but really wanted to hit Stelvio Pass anyway. Everything that you have seen or heard about this road does not do it justice untill you experiance it!

(Note the well constructed guard rail)

From there I went to Stuttgart and dropped off car in Frankfurt.
I ran into the train too! I think BMW plans it in there navigation system so you have to pay the 28 Euros.
Scared the shit out of me! Had no idea where I was going, and no one spoke English.
Had no time to do the "Ring" as had to drop off car on Friday. (ED drop offs closed on Saturdays)
I would of planned ahead for this because I would of like to do the Porche and MB factorys as well as the "ring"

Instead, I dropped off the car and headed to Amsterdam by train.
As you know, they have lots of these there.

Which leads to this...

and this...

and this...

cant forget this...

which leads to....

and may end leading to this...

Anyway, once again, if there is one thing you must do before you know what, do ED!
I had to do it alone, and forced to meet people, so I still had a blast.

Now the hardest part! Waiting for her to come home! Called my dealer already, its not even on the boat yet

What an amazing experience!

Thanks for sharing the photos, it actually brought back amazing memories for myself, as your photos and locations were (are) almost identical to the ones I took from last year, even down to the italian ski team being up at Bormio! How awesome is that? 2 of the guys drank me under the table, I wish I could remember their names.

Which way did you drive up to the stevlio pass? After I visted welt and did the tour I went to Neuschwanstein Castle and stayed there. Then headed south west over through stelvio. There was snow everyone for my trip and I was just in an Audi A3-s for the trip... I can only imagine how much better it would have been in a 1!

Thanks for sharing the photos! Congrats, and I know the experience, and you are right, their is NOTHING like the area around Bormio.

Here are some of my photos of Bormio and the Stevlio Pass from last year. See if it looks familiar! Again, thanks for sharing your trip, AMAZING!!

Thanks for the pics, yeah lots were like taken from the same exact vantage point.
I did Stevilo from Innsbruck, so I first took the back pass (something with starts with a "c" I think). That pass was pretty sick too!
Had to do Stelvio both ways to and from Bormio, just to drive it!
On the way down came to a dead stop when an oncoming SUV and me came face to face on the single lane in the tunnel!
Had no idea what do to. Since I had some traffic behind me he started backing down his (SUV) inside the single lane tunnel untill there was a pass point.
Threre must of been 6" between his car and mine and mine and the wall!
Was quite an interesting conflict, the look on the guys wife face while backing up, down the hill, inside the tunnel, on a single lane, on this road was priceless!
Was so nervous about going back up that it would happen again, but it was all clear. But on the way back up a little piece of crap car passed me while on Stelvio when a bus was in front of me, then cut me off when he saw oncoming traffic.
Shoot not even in NY and getting cut off!
Soon after, the bus pulled over,
Was on his tail a bit, pushing him a bit...was a little pissed too.
He was giving me a run for my money... and wish it werent break in period because I backed off.
Dont even know what kind of car he was in but he booked up Stelvio so fast!
Actually maybe better off that I was still in break in period.
Btw...
Update...
My car leaves port Bremerhaven tomorrow!

You have me SO looking forward to my trip now. I pick up my 135i on the 7th October... still torn between Deep Sea Blue and Le Mans Blue... probably go with Deep Sea. Anyway... yeah... I'll be headed up Stelvio during that week I'm in Germany, too. Seriously anxious to get to October now...
