At least 20 128i (mostly convertibles) at USC campus in LA, driven by girls who think they are super hot. Many of them are, actually...1 series does have the addictive look, I can't quite put my fingers on it. I'd buy one if I'm back in the lala land.

***UPDATE***

Nope. Not a single 1er on the entire 11-hour drive back from OBX. But oh, the comments when we were gassing up!
Averaged 30.6 mpg too The only downside was the hour-long monsoon we experienced while on that God-forsaken
hellhole of a road known as the "Penna Turnpike". But she handled it like the champ she is!

I know that hellhole of a road well. Used to drive the entire length from Philly to Ohio every summer to visit relatives. Seemed to take forever.

Wow. I've only driven it from the Ohio border to Breezewood (albeit
several times) and that seems to take forever.

You have my sincere sympathies, kind sir!

HAHAHAHA

I have no reservations for, or want, an 89 CRX, not matter how fast one is. I'm just saying there are some very quick ones out there that "would" be considered a sleeper. If I really wanted one Im sure I could always sell the BMW but I prefer a new nice car that is somewhat faster than the average school bus.

I think You took my post out of context. But that's fine. I like all makes and models and really like when those who take them to the extreme while keeping it clean. I really am not a "brand" guy so whether it has a 4,6,8,10,or12 im sure I would love to drive, own it, and mod it. If it floats, flys, or drives im interested. Too many people, though, have a stigma to a certain brand or car and think its the best thing since sliced bread.

In summary: Cool story, Bro.

even over here in Germany... seeing a e82 or e88 is a rare sight. Most people by far by the hatch. Just the way I like it! Me and my e82!!
