Resale Value Of 135i Coupe

Hi there.

Im about to be a buyer of 135I

However, before I really become, I want to ask your opinions about the

resale value of the car after 3yrs and 5yrs.

lets get the cars MSRP for $40,000.

what will happen after 3yrs and 5yrs?

Please share your precious opinions and experiences!

+also, its well known that japanese car has good resale value because of not breaking stuffs, and heard bmw has lot of trouble after few years.. please tell any opinion about these too. I want to know about bimmer morethan just rumors or anything thats not 100% sure. NEED YOUR HELP PROS!

This was one of my concerns that forced me to just lease it.

just optioned out a fairly similar one online, it came to 51k canadian, but there are some definite optional extras that were on mine such as the side skirts and the rear diffurser.

so i'm going to say it came to 53k CDN and i payed 37k for it with 8,000kms on it. I saved 16,000 CDN dollars on the car buying it used, mind you the dealership i bought it from didn't know it had some of the options on it, so i think i got away with it cheaper then it should have been. Basically it lost a quarter of it's value in 2 years and 8,000kms

The previous owner took the big hit for me, so i'm not too concerned about the resale anymore. And the car looks like it's still only been a 1 owner car.

i was looking into going new, but i figured my only reasons were for the car to be 100% the way i wanted it, which all i really cared about was the size, the transmission, the engine and sports/m package.

The only thing i think i really missed out on buying used was European Delivery. I would have love to have done that.

But i'm extremely happy with the car, and my mileage is high enough that it's pretty well ruled out HPFP issues.

I'm looking at a grey/black 2009 coupe with 6mt, m sport, premium sound, and it has only 12,000 miles they said I could get i for about $30k which doesn't seem too bad saying its certified with %1.9 financing right now.

Should I go ahead and get it?

Sold it long time ago and the resale value was not all that good plus the car was hard to sell.

this was a point me and my buddy came up with. With the money i save, i can modify the car a little, and still go to europe and rent a car and travel.

so, european delivery or not. I can still go to europe, and save money

Pretty much all big/high end/luxo cars are in the toilet. New and Used.
Brand New!!! C63 AMG's dealerships are taking $15,000 Off the MSRP

Saw a CPO 2007 750iL fully loaded with 23K miles at the dealership for $44K grand....... <who's your daddy>
Its a buyers market, not a sellers. One another note, have been watching speed/HD theater the past week, the Auto auctions, I'm shocked that mid 60's muscle cars are going for mid $50K were 2 years ago, these type of muscle cars were bringing in $120K+.
