why does everyone care about the xenons? that's a minor detail and this is only a pre-production car. Thanks for the video. It sounds pretty good

Exhaust note seems muted.

How can you order that colour, the car is only available in 3 colours Valencia Orange, Black Saphire Metallic and Alpine White. I would go and check with your dealer as no BMW individual options are being made available for this car ??? The reason that i say this is i tried to order mines in Titanium Silver and was willing to pay extra for it through BMW individual and they said a flat NO, the reason that was given is that the car is not and will not be part of the BMW individual program

I was at the track last night and the M1 looked great. Handled the track nicely, although was not as loud as the 1000hp monsters behind it. Especially the Chevys.....Porsches were by far the most composed on the track. They've got racing in their DNA....

Perhaps I'm overinterpreting a little bit, but I see the 1M as a new era of M and BMW would be wise to invest in a more non-turbo like exhaust note. I know they are aware of that point, since they demonstrated something great at Detroit. I'm just not yet convinced it will sound like that. (In case you didn't see the video yet: ) But yeah, I'm still hoping!! |

That was my (disappointed) impression from the videos, too. I just hope this will change in the final version.
