New Member Intro

Hi Guys, Androidv4 here!

Very nice to be a new part of a great forum, I have been reading for a while!

I am in the process of getting a 135i and am looking for some advice/tips on who has had good experiences at dealers etc.

I am largely based in QLD but have all my family and friends in NSW and VIC so I am often up and down the east coast of this fair land! I don't mind negotiating with a dealer interstate if they come highly recommended!

I am looking at either a late 11 or early 12 build. I am still undecided as to whether to buy a manual or DCT. I currently have a MINI 6SpM and its a real hoot!

As for options, I am after
Sunroof,
heated Seats
Pro Nav
H/K sound upgrade
Black leather
non-metallic black (I think it looks better than the metallic!)

That about wraps it out.

So, hello to everyone! If there is any advice that can be offered regarding best time to order/negotiate, runout deals and who got good pricing, please holla!

Cheers

Android

Welcome Android.

I like my heated seats .

If you want best price - try to find floor stock, but flat black on black would be hard to come by especially with your options list. It definitely looks nicer than BSM when clean - but are you sure? BSM is hard to up keep as it is, flat black will be a nightmare!

Speak to Pete at Coastline and mention sparoz, top pricing always require work from any dealer, but he is great to deal with.

hey guys! Yeah I know the heated seats in Bris are a bit of an ask, but I love a long drive on a cold day with a warm arse! I also may end up in Melbourne next year so I am planning ahead!

The colour thing is a bit of a worry isn't it, I am not sure which way I am leaning. I think that the Interlagos blue is a cracker as well, but also like the dark grey and white. I guess which is the easiest to keep clean?

Thanks for the advice Sparoz, I am talking to Bruce Lynton on the goldie for the moment but am still looking for a good deal out there.

Floor stock is the way to go? Can I really expect ~10% off a factory order?

Cheers Lads (and ladies if I have missed)

Welcome.

As a flat black owner I reckon you should seriously consider a different colour. It truly is a nightmare to live with - it shows the dirt, swirls and chips like nothing else. Looks fantastic after you wash it though....for about 5mins. If I had my time over it would be AW all the way.

I like to drive with my windows/sunroof open so I can hear the acoustics from the engine/intake/exhaust, especially at night. On cold nights during winter I crank up the heated seats and the cold isn't a problem anymore. It's brilliant! I'm sure some people think I'm a mad man but I'm so cozy

I have everything BUT heated seats on my car..... At first i thought it would wear out the leather quicker, to heavy blah blah but I really wished I had something to warm my arse during cold nights.
