Bear Mt run
I love driving my Porsche 911SC through those turns on the bear mt roads. I recently purchased a 128i and can't wait to take it there....
My ritual was at 5:00AM Sunday morning to drive that run. It sucks when you get caught behind a slower car! |

Yeah, you absolutely have to wake up early if you want a clear road. On a nice day there are plenty of people who go up there to picnic or just for the scenery and minivans are not the best to follow.

Coming from an 87 Carrera, my stock 135 is leagues above in power, but nowhere close in handling, so be careful please... ianc |

And Ruffan, don't take this the wrong way because my car is the virtual twin of yours, right down to the wheels and color; it's just something I've thought more and more lately...
From a design perspective, the thing that really bugs me about the 135 compared to the M3 is the way the nose\grill is so vertical. The M3's is swept back in a very aggressive way with the top grill pieces even carrying onto the hood, whereas the 1's is very close to vertical. It just doesn't look as purposeful to me. From every other aspect the car looks great, but IMO they kind of blew it in that respect. Maybe it was a packaging issue, or maybe just a studied nod to the flagship, but that is one thing I wish they'd revisit in later 1 models. Great shots though, thanks for sharing! Looks like you guys had a great time! ianc Last edited by ianc; 03-20-2010 at 01:48 AM.. |
