couple of questions
okay so i purchased a cf spoiler, and some cf mirror caps. My dealership said they will not install the spoiler because i did not buy it from them(car has not been delivered yet wanting to have it installed before delivery.) They want 2 hours of labor at 130 bucks an hour for the mirror caps. Where can i take it to have the spoiler and covers done and not pay an arm and a leg? They also wanted 1k for clearbrawing the front bumper and the top of the hood, what an absolute joke!

^^^Find another dealer...that is bullcrap that they wont install an OEM part on your vehicle because you did not purchase from them....the labor for the CF trunk spoiler is two hours partialy because they have to make sure it sets properly..it really does not take anywhere near that long to do....

I would say unless you have done this type of thing before, and feel confident about it - have someone do it for you. Check out a few body shops in your area that work on European cars. If there are Mercedes, BMW's and Audis in the shop and parked outside then you are at the right place. Expect to be quoted at least an hour and a half.
The reaon your dealer declined, is that they don't want to take a chance that your spoiler will become defective during the installation, then they would have to cover the cost of it themselves. Think about it from their perspective. If you really want to try it yourself, then follow the very good instructions on this forum. Take your time and do it right. Good luck. |

^^^That is what I would probably do to...especially if they are charging $130/hr. Last time I was in Germany (2006) labor was 60eur/hr.....I guess we pay a premium for our brand..

the only think i am worried about is getting in on strait. I understand you can use a water soap mix to move it around but then when you get it where you like it than what you have to sit their and hold it while the water evaporates?
