I'd call them now- that won't last long. Reasonable price for the mileage and a hard to find NAV-less BSM.

Looking through the ad, this one doesn't have bluetooth. I have come to depend so heavily on that, not sure I'd want a car without it.

just out of interest why are non-nav cars attractive? Is this a US thing or worldwide perspective?

For me, two reasons-

1: The nav will inevitably become outdated, if it isn't already. My wife has an Acura with Nav, and it sucks. I can pick up my phone, say the address I want, and be on my way complete with free traffic data all courtesy of my phone. And every time there's something new, I can get it on the phone.

2: The dash looks MUCH cleaner without it IMO, and the cupholders are better without it.

There is a lot more to the I Drive than just the Nav feature, although the other capabilities will eventually outdate as well. I have looked for a 1M for a while and, at least for me, the keys have been the car, mileage and price. On these scores, subject to an in person look, this car is definitely worth exploring. Pics should show a lot about the physical condition.

Garage List
2020 BMW M2 CS  [0.00]
2018 Toyota Tacoma  [0.00]
2011 BMW 1M  [10.00]
Some Details:

Shows the Wholesale Center as Global Imports of Atalanta, GA but a retail Center of BMW of Hudson Valley in Poughkeepsie NY. Could that mean that it might be a Performance Center Car that was then redistributed to a retail dealer? It was retailed on 5/23/11. The only other time I see a Wholesale Center and Retail Center differ is when the car is dealer traded. I don't imagine any dealer would trade away a 1M?!?

On the service side the car was PDId at the GA dealership on 5/16/11 but the 1,200 mile service was done at Hendrick BMW in NC on 6/30/11. All remaining service (2 oil services and the battery cable recall) were also done in NC, the last of which was on 7/11/13 with 9,449 miles.

The registered owner (according to BMW) is in NY...could be that the car is registered in NY yet is garaged in NC I guess.

Car has Convenience Package (Alarm, Park distance control, Comfort Access, Nav) Premium Package (auto dimming mirrors, power seats, ambient lighting, BMW Assist w/ Bluetooth, iPod adapter), Heated front seats, Satellite radio, H/K premium sound, and BMW Apps. Full MSRP $53,760.

Factory warranty expires 5/23/15.

What is a performance center car?

I emailed the dealer and asked if they could email me pics or let me know when they post pics. Of course, I get a "Call me and I'm happy to talk to you" response. There's a reason i didn't give my phone in the request. I hate dealers. So much.

That's better than my favorite CA line: "what do you want your payment to be?"...

FYI: I spoke to that dealer in the past about a 1M last summer and they were douchey as hell. Offered me $5k less for my 135is trade in than other dealers. dealers do suck....

I just don't get the style. When trying to buy a car for my wife last year I emailed a dealer and asked how much warranty was left on a car. They emailed me back no less than 20 times, but never answering the god damn question. Just wanting me to come in or call them. Then there's the haggling and the "dealer fee" and that nonsense. I really hope i find a private seller

during the spring and summer of 2014 i had basically inquired about EVERY 1M for sale during that period before buying mine. I know EXACTLY what you are talking about.....they never answer what you need to know. LOL.

in the end i found an OK BMW dealer where i bought my 1M----but honestly the whole ordeal was a pain in the ass....but kind of fun looking back on it! in a sadomasochistic kind of way haha

good luck!! i'm sure you'll find one that fits you...

I have been looking for 4 or 5 months. Private enthusiasts have been totally transparant while dealers have not including at least one case of failure to disclose a replaced rear bumper to "no test drive until we have a deal worked out which you are ready to sign after the drive." Actually non BMW dealers have been better, as dealers go. Patience will be rewarded and you may have to tolerate a dealer for the right car at the right price. Good luck.

A car used by BMW for things like M School. If that's the case, all miles would be hard miles...but not clear that that's the case here. The one PC car I saw was CPO (I assume they'd all be).

Ask for hard copies of the service records- they should give you a much better indication of what you're dealing with (location is service, name of prior owner, etc.)

cSurf. I have not been active. Currently my son has my 08 135i. If I find a 1M I will want to get familiar with the car near limits in a few controlled events. Maybe our paths will cross.
