HELP with removing the intake manifold
Hey guys I've owned my 128i for about 4 years now and it has been dead reliable... up until this past Saturday. The dreaded starter went and I opted to do the job myself, having a 10ish year history of backyard mechanic and modifying car knowledge under my belt I figured it would be better than paying a local shop or dealer. All was going great until it came time to remove a bracket attached to the bottom of the manifold. This bracket holds what seems to be a junction box for the wiring harness. Two torx screws, one on either side and neither want to budge. Is there a way around this step? Can I pull that box off of the bracket with out taking the bracket off the manifold? Do I open the box and take out the wires to get the manifold out of the engine bay? ANY help at all will be greatly appreciated. I feel like I'm missing something major here.

There's a couple clips on the top back side of the box. I really recommend just breaking them off and then pulling the box off. The clips are way overkill and entirely unnecessary.

I fortunately was able to lift up the clips and slide the box off. Couldn't agree with you anymore that its over kill though. Also, is it just me or did the N51 have more going on in the engine bay than some other N52 DIYs I looked over?
