Audi S4 Widebody - Paint Correction - PPF Installation
Much like the other one we did early this year.....
This car belongs to another customer that has always brought his cars to the next level, this is a 2002 Audi S4 Avant that was converted to an RS4 using all factory parts coming from Germany. Not sure if he has changed his mod list yet but I believe by the time this is done it will be 600-700 crank hp! After the body panels were installed it went in for paint....below is what we needed to do We wrapped: 1. Side skirts 2. Top of rear bumper 3. Full Front bumper 4. Gas Cap 5. Door Handles The total time this took was 50 hours with the 3 of us, Dan, Tom, and I. Long days and nights to prep this one for H20. What was done - Exterior - Wheels were prepped and cleaned - Tires were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down - Wheel wells were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash - Wash down and rinsed - Door jambs were cleaned up - Clayed - Dried - Paint inspected and measured - Wheel Wells were cleaned and dressed - Tires dressed - Masking - 3 Step Paint correction (Meguiars M105, Menzerna Super Intensive Polish, Menzerna PO85RD) - Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight - Applied and Removed Wax - Rubber and Plastics Treated - Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed - Exhaust tips cleaned - Engine detailed Interior - - seats were removed - carpets vac'd - carpets were cleaned up with Sonax Upholstery carpet cleaner - seats were cleaned and conditioned - full wipe down with Sonax Dashboard Cleaner - door jambs polished and waxed Products used: (feel free to click the link below for more info) Exterior: Adam's Car Wash Einszett W99 P21S Total Auto Wash (engine, presoak, wheel wells, tires) Uber Yellow Wash Sponge Uber Clay Bar kit with Optimum No Rinse Einszett Spray Wax Meguiars M105 Menzerna Super Intensive Polish Menzerna PO85RD Swissvax Crystal Rock Adam's Glass Cleaner Adam's Glass Sealant Wheels/Tires/Engine/Wheel Wells Uber Wheel/Wheel Well/Tire/Engine Kit Adam's In and Out Spray Interior Sonax Dashboard Cleaner Sonax Leather Foam Sonax Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner Adam's Glass Cleaner Tools: Infratech 5300 Fenix TK11 Brinkmann Flex 3403 Makita Metabo The Uber Foam Pads (5.5inch) Tons of "Uber" Microfiber Towels Uber Drying Towels Brushes Cam Spray Pressure Wash and Foam Canon Attachment Interior Clean Up Before shots of the interior (most of the interior will get upgraded, customer was concerned mostly of the carpets and the plastics. Tidying up the interior - we collected loose items and put them in a box Removal of rear bench Front Seats were removed ....Lots of dirt and grime under them After a vac we proceeded to clean up the upholstery with Sonax Upholstery Cleaner Dirt picked up from the microfiber After shot of the carpets under the front seats Sonax Dashboard cleaner was used in the interior plastic trim After Interior Shots Exterior - not much to show it was brought right over after it was in the body shop... Before Before shots of the engine Engine Clean Up After shots of the engine Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner Car Wash - Foaming it down - Rinse - Clay Paint Measured - Trim masked Car needed to be finished down - we went with M105, SIP, PO85RD - this was a pretty hard color to show paint defects... 50/50 shots you can tell the paint cleaned up extremely well - again a hard color to show After Side skirts were polished out Shots outside after compounding and polishing and rinse PPF (Clear Film Installation) Lights removed for a cleaner install After shots Shots from Waterfest Sick Recaro's! Final shot (Permission for the write up granted by the customer) |

Wow - great job as always Phil.
I'm not digging the color of the car, but as always your work is amazing. You inspired me - I just purchased Leather Masters and some Sonas products from you. I recently moved into an apartment without access to a car wash. :-( I'm thinking I might have to put a 'trunk bucket' together and hit the local DIY car wash. Do you sell anything that is a portable organizer for products or can you recommend anything? I have an Adam's bucket w/ grit guard, but I'm thinking a carrier would be nice. Thoughts?
