Liking the shape and size, perfect in my opinion as looks like it is in between the current 1er coupe and e92 in size (logical anyway as it is a 2er). Can't wait till its revealed.

Doesn't look that much different from the current E82 coupe... Maybe a bit less stubby.

I like the 1er's size better, the 2er will be e46 size, which is not too bad but I think the market really lacks a 2+2 coupe (real real seats).

The 1 is already e46 size. There are overlays somewhere of the two bodies - absolutely identical.

When the disguise eventually is removed from the 2er, only to reveal a Mitsubishi Lancer front nose you will be glad you bought one of the last timeless classic BMW coupe shapes

I actually like the fact that I bought a car that is about to be superseded. BMW has had plenty of time to iron out the kinks and I know there won't be thousands more joining me on the road. As car history suggests, newer doesn't always mean better...

The car will probably look fine. I still have doubts whether I would want one with electric power steering.

That's probably a good outlook provided you have negotiated the price right and not pay early model price.

I'm sure whatever the design, it will eventually grow on me. Seems to always happen. Though I am not warming to the F20 hatch 1 front end still.

Some cars just do it right from the get go. New A class Mercedes is a good example of that.

These spy shots are so camouflaged I simply cant imagine it. Just have to wait and see.

My Elise S is awaiting shipping for a June delivery but the rumour is the NSW dealership is about to move. Why is nothing ever simple

As I understand it, production will start around November, meaning deliveries around February/March I would imagine. Could be even later depending on the marketing priorities in the northern hemisphere. So, would you wait another 12 months?

Yes, I know that the 228i will be a very nice car and will go harder than my 125i, but I'm going to stick with my N52. I still think it's the smoothest 6 ever made.

EPS is the way of the future like it or not ..... Even Porsche uses EPS so if they can get it right, its up to the software guys at BMW to work their magic.

That being said, the EPS on my E82 125i feels great. Maybe a little light up to 40klms /h but great thereafter.

Ok Maybe I just have to try it. For the time being I am happy living in the past with hydraulic steering.

At least on the 1 series the EPS appears better weighted than the F30 which is too light in my opinion.

When I get back into my E90 LCI, you can feel how heavy the steering is on take off but it feels the same as the EPS once you are at normal driving speed.

I think the M54 is Actually smoother, significantly. I have an E46 M54B22 and a 130i N52B30 and I can tell the difference. But the N52 is more raw!
