Can't wait to see the full product all together and installed .. just waiting on this ...
BTW ... is there going to be a full listing for how much it will cost to get the full intake w/ diverter valves? Thanks, Crowley

Stage 1 - Intake + K&N filter Stage 2 - Scoops and shields (scoopswill be offered for purchase separately) Stage 3 - Diverter valves + hard pipe (hard pipe will be offered for purchase separately) We will then have 1 set price for the full stage 3 set up. All prices are still being worked up. For all the people that purchase the intake now. They will be honored any discount price offered as the products finish. |

Just put my intake on!!
Alright so I finally got the intake installed today after days of seeing it sitting in my trunk!!
The install, pretty simple, took me and my friend about half an hour to finish. Went for a drive after and heres what I noticed. Throttle response seems like it did improve a bit over stock. You hear the intake sucking, and the turbos sound a bit louder, loved the sound!! Honestly never got familiar with the power of the stock car, not enough to be able to say that I felt a power increase. It is obvious that the air is flowing more freely than the stock set up though. Can't wait for the rest of the package to come out!! Oh and I forgot, as we all already expect from Riss Racing, their service was amazing. They couldn't of been more helpful with all this!! Thanks guys! |

That is a WAAAAY back street with no cross traffic. That stop sign was there for the building that is being rebuilt. It is fenced off. |

@Anthony and all concerned: I have been watching this for some time now and in the course of looking at the engine bay and the intake noticed something. Doesnt the 135i already have built-in 'air scoops'? Above and behind the kidney grills is the hard plastic...scoop? And from the design it directs air directly into the intake filter and onward....I dunno, it would just seem more, lets say 'design friendly', to use that existing hardware in some way with the intake design. Just idle speculation on my part..what do you guys think?

Thanks Anthony I think understand where you are going with it. It will probably redirect the airflow to better force it into the 'dead snorkels'(?) and thru the OEM ducting. That kinda explains why it would take so long to do the R&D for it...sizes, fit, and stability are all things you would have to make sure is dead-on. I got nothing but time (man i sound like i am in prison...LOL) so you take as long as you want....but I dont think these guys in the states can stand the wait much longer...LOL

Well we have fully built and released more performance products for the N54 than any other company that I know of? The diverter valves/hard pipe are fully done and in production. The intakes are boxed finished and shipping. The scoops and shields we left for last since its the easiest product to reproduce/design. However you are correct. We do a ton of R&D on products to make sure your 40 - 50k cars are not our "test dummies" We put a ton of miles on each product and beat the hell out of them to make sure they will stand the test of time. The scoops seem simple but they are complex. You want to direct as much air in. However you don't want to totally block off the radiator. This will make engine temps rise. You also need to test them at wind speeds of 160mph+. We take extra time. However we have never hard a returned performance product due to failure EVER. So the little extra time is worth my piece of mind when I give my clients that have full faith in us our products  |

I'm waiting for the pics of the final of all stages. My question is How are the scoops going to make the intake RAM AIR? The snorkel doesn't blow into the intake....it blows the air behind it.
Unless the scoops are going somewhere else? |
