Lci

Eye brows suck. It's rice. They look lazy. The led corona rings are beautiful. I was hope'n for a more 04-06 e46 approach to the LCI headlights....

Can't tell for sure from these shots, but I kinda like the existing taillights more with the 3 horizontal stripes. The LED stuff in the headlights will be nice, I could take or leave the eyebrows though.

I'd be surprised if that's the extent of the LCI changes, seems very minimal compared to what other models recieved.

Nice touches.. I think the car(s) is already perfect so a few items are not such a bad thing.

Why didn't they get rid of the droopy lines on the sides? That's the only real problem with the styling. If you're not going to correct the biggest blunder on the car, why bother.

That's a very minor facelift. On the other hand, it should be easy to convert any 1-series to the new LCI look.

The changes are in accordance to the next generation 1er Sporthatch as the Coupe and Cabrio inherit some design elements of the new car.
Such as the headlight "eyebrows" , more sculpted front bumpers with wide intake and refresh of new colors , wheels and interior choices.

It's all to keep the 1er Coupe and Cabrio relevant until the replacements arrive in 2012.

You will learn more next week.

Also, I'm guessing this isn't the US version, meaning that we'll still have the ugly orange reflectors built into the headlights in the US.

I actually don't mind the droopy side anymore. The only thing I don't like is the orange corners...

The brow, the 2 (as opposed to 3) LED strips in the taillights, for 2.

That's a USDOT requirement to have an amber reflector at the front of the car. Almost 0 chance anyone would care if you altered your own car to ignore that, but unless they change some federal law we're never going to get the fresh to death clear/white deals on new US spec cars.

yep. I don't really like the headlights, but I love the tails. 128i bumper has always been a little lame. Still is.

The power bulge on the hood of the active E car (and not the others) is the most interesting thing I'm seeing here..

They look gash

And what's the point of them..? Do they have a function or are they just a nasty 'styling' item....?

Vermillion Red looks nice though

That is built into the car platform... the doors would have to be redesigned and all new crash testing... this was just a minor facelift.

I like the headlights but the 3-strip tails are my favorite thing about my 1. Im interested to see those new rims on the 135 though!

Humm... perhaps I might need to drive down to Muenchen next weekend (again). Seems that the rumors might be true.
