It is. 24 hour race! Temps predicted at 101 degrees with rain over night. This should be interesting in an 1830 lb e30! I'll be by soon to get the sat radio activated. I'll look you up.

The intake is AFE. The dual cone design with the ram air scoops in the kidney grills.

Well, after the craziest race weekend I am home. The new suspension is just so spot on I can't describe how happy I am with it. I softened up the rear a couple clicks for the ride home and on route 40 in North Carolina I could tell it was an improvement. For about 40 miles the pavement had a break in it every 12-14 feet so between the 19's and the suspension it was a little bumpy but not at all unbearable. It really soaked it up well considering how other cars were bouncing as we passed each other. I had to go through the Nantahala river road for about 15 miles and luckily had very little traffic in front of me. The car is so different with the CDV gone and the suspension installed. The clutch is now engaged and connected compared to stock and the lightened flywheel of the 1M is more noticeable. I should have done it day 1. The last thing I want to do right now is drive a car but in a few days I'd like to play around with the settings and take a ride over the local mountain. I turned 5,000 miles on the odometer today!

Truly great to hear Dan! Have you settled on which spring rates you're sticking happy?
Any plans to add camber plates?

At this point I see no reason to change the springs. If I were going to track it I might consider a slightly stiffer spring rate but for what I expect to use it for it's great. No camber plates planned, "because race car."

After a little over a week with the Motons I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. I turned all corners to full soft a few days ago and I'm blown away by the comfort it has! It is definitely softer than stock at this setting. I took it over the mountain the other night and the ride quality and handling were much better than stock. I've never owned Motons but have only heard great things about them and this really solidifies that for me. I'm headed down to Road Atlanta in a few hours and plan on adjusting things before I leave. On the trip home I'm going to see how a full race setup feels on the street. My daughter is going with me as she wants to see race cars so I'll report back "our" findings later.
Of course, I don't influence her interests at all...

Softer than stock?! That is truly great to hear about the dual character of these shocks.
People often say that there is going to be a lot of compromise when modifying suspensions. Reading your review, it seems like that doesn't really have to be true. It looks like it's possible to get something rather compliant on the street, yet more than competent on the track even for someone who races cars!
