The second one looks correct. The first one is not.

however that second one has 151,xxx miles on it. I'd veer away from that considering the stig just had a topic on how one disa flap broke and blocked off some guys valves.

First one no. Second one, I think so, but looks like it's missing the flaps.

So get it and buy a new flap? Would that be the expensive route or wait for another deal to pop up with low miles and flap?

Or, you can check Car-part.com and order something complete. It's what I did.

The DISA motors are the expensive part. you're better off trying to find a complete manifold rather than piece one together.

Spot on. The manifold itself isn't very expensive. It's the DISA motors that hike the price up, retailing for around $600 online. I'd wait to see about finding a completed set.

Found the large adj unit for $60 on Ebay. Looks pretty worn, even at the advertised 40k miles. I'd be wary of purchasing this and wouldn't recommend it considering the information St|g posted earlier about wear. You'd still need to find a small adj unit.

New ones are around $328 on ebay, which is completely overpriced. You can find it cheaper here:

Large Adj Unit, P#: 11617579114 - $279.90 or $288.82
Small Adj Unit, P#: 11617560538 - $279.90 or $288.82

Use this picture to help you decide the right manifold. You're looking for manifolds with extra openings for the adj units- the opening on top of the manifold in this picture for example, not the one with gold screw holes.
Check out completed kits here and here for more information and part numbers.

Just think of all the BMW's that were sold with this motor- N51, 330i, 530i, Z4 etc, and all of the Jersey Shore cast members that inevitably wrapped them around a tree. There's tons of these out there, but they rarely get posted online for sale. I would recommend doing the footwork at local junkyards or BMW indy shops for better results.

That adjuster looks to be okay, The rubber gasket is in Good shape

@kobeballer96

Can you enlist help from 1er-forums de to get you a junker manifold?
You should have so much more choice?

Wow thank you 1er family! And yes I will have to do more reaserch, I wouldn't be able to go to a junk yard for another couple of weeks or so. I'm almost home! Or Would I be better off spending 500 a tune and bumping up stock hp first then going disa and headers? I'm going to go open tablet.

Don't bother with the tune first - grab the manifold and then get the tune.

AA tune makes a little difference but i'd also vote on manifold and tune at the same time for ultimate seat of the pants feel.

Glad to help! There were like 10 or so results that came up. I just went on car-part.com and entered 530i. you can also do 330i. They're usually spotty with responding to emails(depending on the seller) but i've had some answer. I called the place that sold me my manifold.
