The way my logic goes is that all the "my car purchasing choice is smart, yours is dumb" is pretty stupid. Drive and buy what you like and enjoy it! They are all wonderful machines.

Obviously, people are going to be defensive when they are told they made a wrong choice in the tens of thousands of dollars. My only point was to show what a great value I think my $33k 325i is. Is my logic stupid?

zz25, since you won't be back till next year, speculation has it that 330 would replace the 325 and 335 would be the new 330 what would you do then... or even the coupe???

Also, IMO the 325 is a heck of a value when in the low thirties, though frankly I would not pay $40k for 3 series. I have choosen used 5 series in the past as they are simply wonderful cars second-hand and NEVER thought I would buy a new BMW. But for $32k I have a new car that while a little less roomy than a 5, has a better power to weight than an '03-'04 530, better fuel economy, tighter handling, nicer looking interior with simply a less upmarket image I can live with. |
