Is it possible the dealer just flashes PPK on the car?
I just got my car back from the dealership to fix a DCT transmission issue with the center console shifter knob, and maybe it is just my imagination, but the car seems to pull faster than ever before. Granted 5 days of driving an X1 with the 4 cylinder might make anything seems fast, but still I am curious.
It really seems to have more power. Could they have flashed the PPK? Is there a way I could check? In any case I am super happy with my 1. |

likely they reset the ECU, the ECU does store driver habits and makes certain adaptations accordingly. The reset removes this data and could/will make it feel like a rocket.

Highly doubt you got a free 'tune' since the PPK comes with a specific card with code when you purchase, and the tech needs that unique code in order to upload the software. Or that's what I've read at least...
