I finally got around to doing it last week, on my TiAg as well. I took a blow dryer, tied it to a small chair, and let it blow dry the emblems for about 20 minutes. Then I took floss, and wiggled the emblems off.

At this stage, treatment of the existing residue is very similar to how you would treat the removal of a price tag from something. If you grab it at the right spot, and work your way gently peeling it off, carefully, you can take off a good majority of it, and save you the effort and broken finger nails later.

Once I took off almost all of the black stuff, and was just left with the glue residue, I took water and rubbed it. Then I took Meguiar's polish and polished and gently scraped with my cloth and nail.

I wouldn't use Goo Gone stuff, as i'm pretty certain that could mess up the cars finish. Its too abrasive.

I really like the results. I was skeptical at first, thinking the car would look naked, but I think it turned out nicely, looks clean, and classy. Looks like a 5'er now.

I dont think debadging the 335 would be much of a sleeper car since people can just look at the exaust to see if there's pipes on both or just one side of the car. But like other people have said it's still a 3 series.

As for the ultimate sleeper car read the link below:
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...hreadid=101767

now that's a sleeper

debadging is easy . puting old badge back when u sell it is difficult. would recommend buying new badge during resale as badge sticker would be completely non adherent.

Then owners will try and segregrate within each class (i.e, 330 owners look down on 325's, etc, etc)

I've even seen attempts to segregrate on the options that were chosen.

I find that amazing and something I have never seen before with other manufactures.

To me, when you buy a BMW, you are buying a premium vehicle, regardless of what model or engine you choose.
WTF, I thought I was moving up the class when I switched from an Accord EX to a e90 325i. But now I see myself at the bottom of the class

i was at first not convinced roundels can do the job but I did it as that was a present from a friend who done the same to his M3. i am very surprise the result of the roundels is superb and I can do it to the steering wheels badge and even to the wheels caps if I ever have BMW rims again. I just love the light and shinny tin material made the roundels which my wife could peel them off and did the realignment ( as I discovered she did not do it properly after some photos were taken and I saw bad alignment as magnified on the photo!)

I must admit the real thing might be more 3 dimensional but at a cost.
Congrats !

I mean if we had Toyota Camry's would we be debadging? Do Mercedes owners debadge the Mercedes symbol?

sound similar to the "M" badging...

i think there are more "M"s running arround here than were actually ever made!

im betting about 1 in every 5 "m" series is real... the rest are posers.

i think i might just put an "M" on my old dodge diesel 4x4!! J/K

Yes. My friend debadged his Montero Sport at my suggestion. As annoying and distracting as the BMW badges are, some of the other manufacturers really seem to go out of their way to clutter the rear end of a car with useless script and badging.
