Unhappy Looks like its my turn...

Its so ironic that the other day i was talking to my brother about many e90post members getting into accidents, which most arent they're fault anyways and now it seems that today was my day. Interesting how karma works  ... Anyways to incident... I just got out of school at 11:30, (i go to cal state fullerton) and was heading down State College and was making my daily right turn onto Yorba Linda to get onto the 57N freeway. At that time, the line to turn was very long and all of us were just waiting patiently to turn when out of nowhere i hear a BOOM! and was shocked at what happend. I quickly turn around to see a girl in her corolla crying and I got out of my car to see if she was okay. Her friend said they were fine but that she was not the one that hit me but it was the guy behind her in a green camaro. I then ran over to him to see if he was okay and asked what happend and he told me that his brakes went out and couldnt stop in time which resulted in a 3 car accident. Luckily for me i was the number 1 car so my damage was very minor. Actually, i got rear ended on my bumper and the only damage visible was her license plate screws. But I am still going to take off my bumper to see if anything else is damaged. Anyways, pictures will come soon... I am still shaken up about this incident so give me some time to recoop. Thanks for reading.

sorry to hear that. at least you are ok. good idea about checking behind the bumper, a lot of times there is some damage.

Karma blows....

You know, we should meet up and take pictures of our matching license plate screws in our rear bumpers. (I got rear ended too on the 405, but haven't fixed the two holes the lady left me)

Just be glad it wasn't worse and that you're ok.

it reminds me of a near accident i had one time. i was the third car at the light; 2 cars ahead of me. The light turns green, and the first car creeps into the intersection, just as he does, a car in the perpendicular street runs the red light and crashses into the corner of the frist car. That first car then gets knocked very hard backwards into the car behind it, and im right there behind the 2nd car about 6inches away. At the time i was in my mom's x5...

Everyone who sees my license holes say, "Well, at least they are symetrical, centered in the middle of your bumper", or they say, "Oh man, it's not THAT bad, what are you complaining about?!" Um... that's not the point people... wait till YOU get a new car.

For sure take the bumper off and check it out. Don't let it slide, that's what insurance is for.

As I said before....you can be driving a 12 year old beater , and you would never get a scratch, ding, or accident in it. As soon as you have something nice...it's like your playing dodgeball out there, and everyone is out to hit you! Sorry to hear that happen shim, but make sure that your rear quarter pannels, or anything behind the bumper is not damaged as well.

Shim, sorry to hear about your accident. Sounds like we have the same route leaving CSUF. I also left school today about 11:30. I am surprised I did not see this happen, as I was also in line getting on the 57! Hope everything turns out ok.

Sorry to hear about your involvement in that accident shim... That sucks..... I go mad because of minor scratches from car washes:mad:.... so a touch by another car would really freak me out, no matter how small the touch may be.

Good luck and hopefully there is no additional damage hidden behind the bumper.

Keep us posted.
