Not very convincing.

The video shows that the intercooler performs substantially better only when no air is flowing over it (like an idling car).

^^Thats actually good though. Less chance of heat soak when sitting in traffic...or driving in traffic on the track for example. The black finish allows the IC to cool itself better without needing airflow.

Yeah, but as soon as you start moving the IATs drop.

So the benefit is very slight.

the color black would be better with the heat (if you are in traffic).
But i would not say the color should be a factor in picking an FMIC.
