Center console
I love my 135i, but what up with the center armrest console? There's barely any room. I know there was an option for an Iphone hook up, but I didn't get that option. It looks like there might be a way of removing some compartments inside the console, but I couldn't figure it out without breaking it. Does anyone have any info on this?

You can easily remove the odd shaped compartment furtherest from the driver, but it is a little untidy at the bottom, various plastic lumps and bits. You need a flat blade, lift up from the rear of the compartment, and it easily clips out.

It would be nice if someone came out with a thin black silicone liner to go in the bins. If you put anything in there, it tends to make noise rattling around... a nice drop in silicone liner for the two compartments would silence them.

If you look at the link, Andy's solution of a toolbox liner may help (with the help of some adhesive if necessary). Or you could pour in some plastidip until the bottom is level, but that's more of a permanent solution.

I found a solution that works - went to Michaels craft store and bought a black felt pad with sticky on the bottom. A bit of creative cutting to make it fit and no more rattling from things inside the console. The felt was under $3 - a cheap fix!
