I'm going through withdraws

My 135 has been relocated to the 3rd bay and can be considered officially stored for winter. I didn't think it would be so bad at first, but as time goes on, I'm finding myself longing for just one more drive.

Sometimes, when I think nobody is looking, I like to sneak out into the garage, sit in the driver's seat, and play with the shifter while making engine noises. I only come back in when I hear my daughter's muffled cries "Where's Daddy?" and the guilt finally gets to me.

What say you, fellow 1addicts? Am I insane, or can you sympathize with my position?

That is sad. Did you put some fuel stabilizer in the tank? Do you have a trickle charger?

I am in the same position, and it's driving me nuts. I keep watching the weather hoping for a snow break.

No, I plan on briefly running it every couple weeks.

And even when the snow breaks, there's still a bunch of freaking salt on the roads! Hooray for the midwest

Snow is that stuff that sends all of our old geezers your way in the wintertime, when the number of Buicks in Florida increases drastically ; )

It's also the stuff that sometimes closes the schools before the first flake has even fallen from the sky. . . :eyebulge:

Have Fun,

Rick - I should know, since I am a schoolteacher. I am always amazed that a mere forecast will shut down schools a day ahead of time. The days of school that get called off over an inch or two of snow simply mystify me.

Since I am getting to be an old geezer myself, maybe I should move south!

I thought that was supposed to be worse for the car than not running it at all. Aren't you supposed to drive it for at least 15 Min. in these cases inorder to get the oil up to temp so it can clean/circulate/ and evaporate off all the condensation?

Yup, my plan is to drive it until oil temp is about 230-240.

I'm pretty sure it needs to stay at temp for a bit. So drive away from home untill it reaches temp, then turn around maby?

WITHDRAWL? WITHDRAWL? Let me tell you about withdrawl...

I, in all my infinite wisdom, bought my car (well, took delivery) in the first week of July. I drove it exactly 1.5 weeks and then came back out to the desert....been here ever since.....
