I went betalink, and it works well - straightforward if you follow the install advice on this forum.
Can't comment on 3M, but I guess that BM proposes betalink for a reason... |

the black stuff
I ended up using the goop that Dan sent with the CF spoiler from United BMW. I followed the directions and took my time. My 13 year old daughter helped and it was easy. I taped everything up with blue painters tape before strating and that made clean-up quick and easy. My spoiler is SOILD and feels like its bolted to the car.

I used Betalink. Easy to use and apply. just follow the directions, lets of prep and use the cleaner provided it works good.

I used the 3M but cut it into small enough sections to cover underneath completely where the spoiler contacts the boot.
The installation is solid and very firm...no issues. Call

+1 on Betalink. The 3M is just a tad to thick, while it does the trick, it doesn't allow the spoiler to sit as flush, leaving slight gaps, especially noticeable on the ends.
Just my .02 cents. Fran |

The Betalink is available from the parts department at your BMW dealer. To answer the question of is it able to be removed...No, it is not able to be removed. It is an epoxy. It chemically breaks down and then bonds the materials. I have used this product one 2 occasions and as far as I can tell, it will not break it's grip.
Hope this helps. |
