driving excitement
With gas prices being what they are, I tend to take it easy on the pedal.
I usually shift around 2.5-3k under moderate acceleration but, that doesn't make for a exciting ride. But, from time to time, I wanna feel the power in the car, the burning smell of rubber .... My question is, how do people drive this car for excitement. Do you rev all the way up to redline? Do you turn off DTC? How do you take off from a standing start? How can I get a knock-you-back-in-your-seat acceleration? |

You know what I do... I do the exact same thing LOL. I let my car rev on auto, and it shifts at around 2-2.5k rpm, and I get good gas milage. Then, when my tank is almost empty(i.e before I get gas) I just floor it and get the rush.
Also, my brother said it is better to rev slowly to 3k and shift rather then accelerate quickly to 2.5k and shift, he said it should give better gas mileage, gonna try that soon, because at under 3k, the car feels slow and I have toyota corollas passing me x_X

If you go to manual mode(which is what I drive in), I always choose first. 4) Floor it xD
