If you have the ability, can you log fuel injector duty cycle when you do?

I'm curious if they need to go above 80% to keep up. Looking forward to the results.

I know that generally SRT4 guys and Evo guys don't get along, but I'm seriously thinking about converting the srt4 I have to a straight-e85 setup. There are a few pure-e85 Evo's around here that are scary fast. Of course 400-450 front wheel hp might be a tad much for the torque-steer-plagued car with 225 wide street tires (Which is probably better for my axle shafts if we are really honest)

Can't wait to see the results! :-)
Thought you would want to run on Map 5 to see how auto tuning parameters change with 93 versus 93/E85?

I guess even Map 7 93 versus Map 7 93/E85 (what % mixture?) should demonstrate the power difference as well.

I have never used map 5, too conservative for my tastes! I have a few months old plot of my jb4 on map 2 making 370rwhp on straight 93 and I'll compare that to a map 2 on 93/E85 mix on Tuesday as all I've been running lately is this 50/50 mix straight for the past 3 months. I'll be doing 3 pulls, 1 on map 7, 1 on map 2, and 1 on map 0 all on e85/93 and I'll pull up my old plot of straight 93 on map 2.

So you've been running half 93/ half E85 for the last 3 months? If so how does it feel compared to map #2 on pure 93? Anxiously waiting the results from the next dyno!

Yeah, I've been running that mix for the past 3 months because I did go back to pure 93 at one point in map 2, but the car felt sluggish compared to map 7 with the mix. Another reason why I tried going back was because of how often I have to fill up at the gas station. I figure I took about a 20% mpg less than straight 93, but the performance advantage is clearly worth it to me. So yeah, I pay about the same if not less at the pump, but I fill up a bit sooner than normal like every 4-5 days instead of every 7-8 days (depending how much fun I want to have).

Awesome. Thanks for the response on the clarification. Guess I'll have to try this out for myself. Been wanting to try map 7 anyways. Been having to resist the urge to fill up with the 101 octane across the street here from work, that's $7.00 a gallon. LOL

Did you give the system time to adjust for the "new" octane level?

You'll want to compare what your timing advance looks like with this fuel (after at least a few adaptation pulls) vs timing on strait pump gas. I have a thread somwhere on the E90 N54 section with some good comments on what exactly to look for. Basically you want to see timing advance stead flat or slightly increasing during a pull vs dropping in value during the pull. The rest of the details of how to do this will depend on your tune... Good luck!
