How close will this be? Volk RE30 square setup
Purchased some 18x9 ET40 Volk RE30's.
Suspension: ST XTA Coilovers, M3 front arms, Dinan Rear shock tower bushing, Whiteline 27mm front sway and end links, Whiteline RSB, M3 diff bushings. Front fitment should look like this, no? http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/bpg...o=view&id=6551 I will be running a minimal drop, and figure I need to run some camber.

You should be able to get it to work but it will take some work up front. Unfortunately you'll probably need a front 4mm or so spacer. Then I'd guess you'll need 3deg of camber to make most non-R 235 front tires to work.

Found a cheap set of 215/40/18 and 245/35/18 Pilot Super Sports. I'll run those for a few thousand miles, should make running slightly less of an issue.
Fitment will look a lot like this up front http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/bpg...o=view&id=6551

Great idea. I have done that a few times myself before, bought smaller tires, get it to work, then go wider. Those are perfect starter sizes. It might work this way, then you can test fit the rears up front and see if you can ever get to 235 or 245 square.

I used to run 245 square setup on an ET40 offsets. Got the front to work with ~2.7 deg camber + 5mm spacer.
255 will not fit in the rear on an ET40 wheel without major fender work. Good luck!
