BMS dual cone intake sitting in garage for 1 year
So I sold my 2009 135i, parted out the mods, except for the DCI which I held on to because one of the cone filters had some minor damage. Nothing that affected it's performance or filtering capabilities.
Now a year later I'm buying a 2010 135i and I'm interested in putting this DCI on the new car. However, it has been sitting around for a while uncovered. I'm left wondering, is there a good way to clean those two filters before reusing them on the new car? |

Warm water. Rinse thoroughly and let them dry.
AEM has some instructions here for cleaning their dry element filters; they recommend their cleaning solution. But if yours have just been sitting in the garage collecting dust, just using water should work fine. |

Never had any issues with heat with the DCI on the old 135i. If it's a heat related issue then you might be right, rarely above 70 degrees f here.
