I have this on my N55 135i 6sp and I love it. Only other mod is the res delete which made it slightly louder but now it pops on deceleration which is awesome. With the res delete it does drone slightly at 2200-2500 rpm at 1/3 throttle and more. It is not terrible but it's there. Great product thanks for the quality and sound it's pretty fantastic. Went from averaging 22mpg down to 17 a tank because the exhaust is intoxicating to hear. One other thing as most people know already but worth mentioning. It is very quiet when first installed. It takes at least 500 miles for it to start sounding better and louder so don't get discouraged.

I personally prefer this with the res delete... Extremely aggressive but quiet during normal drives. It is great. I had them do my E36 m3 and it had all AA parts and tune and the car was solid! It's high quality looks good and is much cheaper than the PE.
Any chance I can get some more AA stickers. i re finished my garage and the old ones had to be removed...:/ Hope this helps your decision |

Any idea if any stock of the GenII exhaust has been sent their way yet? Last edited by Acheron83; 04-03-2014 at 07:23 AM.. |

I just ordered the active autowerke axle back for my 2011 from Underground Euros. They called and said you guys had them in stock. Will this be the style exhaust I receive?? Or will it be the older style one with the resonator? Honestly I'd rather it be this style

I've had the unique opportunity of owning both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 exhausts so I figured I'd share. I actually opted for the 2 because the 1 droned like a mother between 2k and 2.5k RPM. Other than that, it was loud, mean, and sounded awesome. But if you do a lot of highway driving you'll find that cruising at 70 MPH in the winter can be pretty miserable due to drone.
While the Gen 1 is like a hard whiskey that kicks your ass, the Gen 2 is like a fine red wine in comparison. It doesn't drone; it just sounds good. It seems more refined and was exactly the change I was looking for. Note: other than that, my exhaust is stock. I'm looking into downpipes after my warranty runs out, and supposedly the Gen 2 still won't drone with DPs. I'm crossing my fingers. |

As of now, only available is the GEN II. Which is ideal if you get downpipes down the road, if you don;t have them now.

Same gains, main difference with the GEN II is that it goes better downpipes.

Hi there.
I have a great deal on a second hand Gen-1 for my N55 135i. I have stock downpipes, ER FMIC, ER CP, and a Custom Cobb/PTF tune. Just finished the custome e-Tune with Dzenno at PTF and the engine sounds really mean under WOT now. Im concerned about drone with the Gen-1, and wondering how bad it would be with my N55 engine + mods? How is it on the highway, and on the street. Is there a specific RPM range to avoid?
