The S5 parked next to the SLR looks a lot like a Smart ForTwo. Now, the one outside the dealership looks much more authentic.

That S5 was run through the wash with hot water. So it shrunk.

/\Nope and I wouldn't want to. The SLR has got to be one of the most overpriced automobiles in the country, IMO. I used to see one in the area when I lived in Seattle. I understand the motor is a beast, but the thing is so dang ugly from almost all perspectives. And $500k price tag? Really?

Ya, id have to agree, my friend from schools dad has one, and a sl65 amg and the slr has fancy doors a hell of an engine and nice carbon fiber seats but really, how much more torque can it have then an sl65. Mercs make powerful exhilarating cars but mehh, a slr for 520 grand, wouldnt you rather have a koenegseg or a lp640 for that kind of money.

Or my favorite of all time, the Pagani Zonda

lol i think those start around 800k.

you could buy an LP640 and have a good 100k to spare. the SLR is a complete rip-off. i'd rather have an R8 and 400k in my pocket.

I mean COME ON if your spending 520 grand on a car, you could probably spare another 280 thousand for a infinetly nicer car, or buy an lp640 which is clearly way nicer

SLR 722 GT is the only one worth the gignatic price tag (which is probably well above the normal SLR or even the normal SLR 722). Its got a little more power (671 vs. 617), but the important part is they shed 600 lbs from the car. This puts the weight more inline with a Ferrari or Koenigsegg or other track-capable supercar. Unfortunately, its probably not street legal either.
