We have heard a couple of exhaust note from an indoor setting now, and we know the car sounds great like that. Question is, what does it sound like out in the open when it doesn't have the ability to bounce the sound off the walls?

The 'whirring' sound is only on one of the videos and in that video you can also hear 'static' when the camera zooms in/out @ ~5:15. |

Actually fellas it's neither turbo's nor static. M3's make this distinctive "whine" sound as well and they are not turbocharged. In addition, the turbo's are not spooling at idle, yet the sound continues. This is definitely something belt driven.

Actually good sir it has been brought to our attention that the turbos DO SPOOL while at idle to improve pick-up.

we'll have to agree to disagree. etymotics say you're wrong. 5:15 doesn't have the same sound. whatever it is, it ain't coming from the camera.

I hear several sounds. A rattling buzz that is likely coming equipment in the room vibrating in response to the cars resonance and an easily recognized mechanical whistle. That is obviously the turbos spooling.
