Congrats! I sold mine and regret it.

My daughter cried when I sold it too and she still misses the morning roar!

I have to confess that in this long winter, my eyes and thoughts have been wandering towards a 993. . .

I'd like to keep the 1'er and add a 993 but that is "impractical" from a garage space and upkeep point of view.

Maybe when I get behind the wheel of the 1M in a couple of months, the fog will clear.

I'm trying to rationalize this exact plan! Low depreciation, raw power, killer looks. . . Might even be a good investment in 10 years!!!

Do you track either or both?

I've taken the 1M out a few times over the past two summers and had an absolute blast. My plan is to keep the mileage down and save it for the track.

The 993 would be a DD with occasional track use.

I see you're in CT. What do you in winter? We're supposed to get 8-10 inches tomorrow.

993 does some light track duty. I'm a little scared of tracking the 1M because of it's rarity, cost and most of all how upset I'd be if something was to happen.

My 993 has done 5 to 10 track days a year for the past 7 years and its a tank. fluid changes, Tires and Brake pads. No problems what so ever. Find a good one they are keepers.

My CA just lent me his M3 for the day and he used my 1M after it had a curb rash fixed. His conclusion? I should never sell the 1M. He said he tries to duplicate the feel of the 1M in his M3 since the suspension is similar.

I'm glad you didn't sell.

While some members are debating whether or not to sell their 1m, I'm actually looking to purchase another one in orange, I love my 1m so much I want an extra one, the car is growing on me everyday, call me crazy when I buy the third one

I drove a Cayman S and liked it a lot. It was stable, had good weight distribution, and cornered beautifully. In short, if I closed my eyes, it felt like my 1M--maybe not as fast as my 1M!

In the end, I decided that it was not as good as the 1M for what I need at this point in my life (2 seats vs 4, trunk space, uniqueness, etc.).

Driving the 911 was a whole different matter! That monstrous engine in the back acting like a pendulum was like nothing I've driven before!

I walked out wanting a 911. A 993 would be, IMHO, the best one out there.
