1M hit by rising bollard

A Dutch 1M was hit by a rising bollard. According to the one who took the pictures, not only the bumper but also the radiator and steering column were damaged. Must be frustrating.

Ouch that looks painful. I can't imagine being in the car while this happens...
Is there any indicator or warning of when they rise?

Terrible! What the hell is a rising bollard used for? Should the title say '1M hits rising bollard'? Rather than the other way around, or was the 1M parked over top of the bollard when it was rising?

That's my car...

Not my fault actually. Car will be fixed.

I'm the one with the blue cap blue jacket, red shirt in the middle , first pic.

The one to blame is the blond guy near the car in the second pic. Hate to say it but that's about it.

Can't do anything about it. It's the internet.

2 weeks ago I did this with the damn thing. My car control is far from bad. Just saying

Cheers
Robin

OK, how did it happen, he drove over it while it was rising? We don't have bollards like that here.

No, the bollard was down when I approached. When the frontbumper was above it the bollard came out(sensor, caused indirectly by the blond guy) , hit the bumper. I was driving about 5 mph. Car is fixed at the end of next week. There is some coronation of a new king overhere next week I 've been told.... so that will delay the fixing

Cheers

Well, my (car's) reputation was locally and internationally a bit damaged, and it's even not my fault!

So here you are, another one:

The '11 E90 320d M Sport loaner I have will do the trick as well(not talking about hitting bollards and stuff...) , but not as good, no lsd , I already tried it in the rain yesterday.

Cheers

Haha, greeting the camera while you're at it.

You might wanna post your smile during drifting; M3 adjuster's at his Euro Delivery is still the smile to beat http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...38&postcount=2

Sorry to learn that it was your 1M, Robin.

Hopefully your 1M will be fine again soon.

Damn, those traffic bollards are ruthless snipers/hitmen.

Sorry to hear that Robin, hopefully it will be fixed as new in no time. Was it in Amsterdam? You never know what gets erected unexpectedly when you are around there, the bollard must got too excited
