SPerformance just opened to the public in Germany!

So gentlemen I've often talked about the shop where we've done some crazy things from the Big Tom IC to the Powerdome hood, My Cooling mist kit and even our great attempt at the Carbon Fiber hood. Well the guy that owns the shop where everything is done at finally got his business license and Tax ID.

Right now he offers all Vinyl and Tinting services. Stripes, Race numbers, Graphics, Black TOPs, Carbon Optic Vinyl, Paint Protection, and even full Wraps. Plus window, headlight, and tail-light tinting.

If your interested just go here. http://ramsteinyardsales.com/search....ance+&x=10&y=9

Or go to ramsteinyardsales.com and search for "SPerformance"

As interest grows he plans to expand more into composites and tuning. I'm already trying to get him to deal Devils Own so we have a good Methanol Supplier. So if you want good work done for a fair price in Kaiserslautern I will vouch for this guy.

Yeah this works.. Sorry about that.

I've been slammed for over a year now. Took on an instructor job at work, I have a wife and a 6month old, and I've been doing a some odd jobs for my landlord to pay for a vacation to their island next January.

I'd love to go for a road trip but when I put my summers back on I had a cut in a front tire so now I'm rolling on some hand-me-down's that are almost bald and full of plugs. So they're only for short hauls.

I think after I get the wife a Jetta TDI then I can get back to my 1 with wheels tires brakes and possibly Nitrous with my custom "N.A.N.O." system I want to try out.

So yes this is a vinyl shop. I think Marcel (the owner) was smart to start small with limited liability. He's just waiting to build a customer base and find out what they want so he branches out in the right direction. This guy did his mechanics school at Ferrari and he drives a 9 second 2.0L STI. He has a spray-booth and hydraulic lift in his garage! So there will be plenty more things down the road but for now if you want some good vinyl or tint done well and inexpensive then swing by. If you let me know your coming we can talk BMW's while your there.

And yes he can do full wraps. Just please don't be like some of the first people seeking qoutes and expect it to be cost effective to wrap a 1994 renault twingo. (I had to read the email to believe the guy) A Small easy car with basic wrap would start around 1,000 euro.

That grey wrapped 1M from Bamburg was done at a shop that charged 2300 euro. If this shop can do it for anywhere near 1000 that's a quite a deal.

I think that wrap job cost more. I seem to remember 3,500 euro price tag. The shop that did the job was in downtown BA.

The info I got from BMW Mil was that the wrap was done by Nevs-Design in Baunach and cost around €1900.

Same here except for the price. I have the PM, the salesman the coordinated that 1M project told me €2300 for the wrap.

SPerformance quoted €1000 and a 2 full day turn-around for a single color wrap. I'm in the planning stages now...

Thumbs up

Got a reply from SPerformance: single color wrap for 1er is €1000 with a 2 day turn-around time, and they do not accept VAT forms.

As soon as my new wheels arrive I'm going to stop by the shop to pick out a color and schedule the install.

Guess I need to figure out how to take the train from Kaiserslautern to Wiesbaden and back...

i was quoted 1300 euro for a full car wrap (flat black) by charged imports in landstuhl, so 1000 with a vat form seems really close to that. i only got a couple quotes, charged imports being the cheapest, but all within 300 euro of that.

New wheels should be installed Friday. I just emailed to check if he's available this Saturday so I can stop by to pick out a color and coordinate an install date.

Yeah, sorry, subsequent PMs mantioned that the €1900 price was the initial estimate. Sounds like €2300 was the final.
