Canadian 128i CAB- Questions???

I plan to lease the 2009 128i Cabriolet in a couple of months, however have two questions.

1- What are the specifications of the actual sound system (speakers, subwoofers and watts) vs the premium sound.
*** how would i know if the one I have in my current 328Ci 2000 premium hi-fi is equivalent of the 128i's standard or premium pack***

2- I was on the US website, in the performance section, for 1700$ you can get the Aerodynamic Kit. On the canadian website, there is nothing. When I will be ordering, can I get this package already installed from the factory?

Hmmm...specs. The Premium Sound package states 10 speakers; two in each door, one sub-woofer under each seat, and the two rear speakers are dual-cones, hence count for four. The overall surround sound of the premium stereo is nicer than that of the standard stereo. The CAB version of the car may alter the audiophile feel of the car (top up) vs. the COUPE and I can't say what it'll be like top down.

As to the aerodynamic kit, BMW Canada and BMW USA do different things (most notably the fact that the Canuck 135i could be ordered with the M-Sport package from the beginning, whereas the US only had the Sport package for 2008 models and early 2009s...they're only now getting it). The Sport pacakge on the 128i is a little different. The www.bmw.ca site has the specs, though their online brochure is from 2008 is doesn't give you much.

Visit a dealership to compare the audio systems side-by-side (that's what I had to do to make a choice) and ask about the Sport pacakge's contents.

The cab has far less speakers as there is not a rear deck to put them in as it is retractable for the roof. I believe we only have 6 speakers at most.

The sound is pretty good but not excellent.

i have the premium audio system. in the US its $875.

i don't think its worth $875. if you want an upgraded audio system, i think you can spend that $875 and take it to an after market audio upgrade place -- but keep the factory head unit for resale value.

Alright..Is there by any chance a specification sheet of the actual standard radio on the 128I CAB and another with the premium package? What type of cds the radio reads the watts ...It is very unclear to me as there is no indication anywhere...

What CDs it reads...what are you hoping for?

As to Watts...again, just go listen to two cars, side by side, one with, the other without...same music. You decide.

It's a convertible...no matter what the audio system is like, top down, you won't care, nor be able to hear the difference. (I know, see my other car -- that's the second one of them too.)
