For all you New jersey 1er Owners Road course coming.
Not sure if anyone is interested in putting your 1er on the track but I just found out that Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ is having a Road Course class on their fairly new 1.3 mile course. It is 8 hours of instruction were you first sit in a classroom then take your car on the track with an instructor learning how to drive it better, then the last part you get to go on the track and see what it can do! You will also after completion of the course get a certificate to allow you to take part in future time runs if you choose to. The cost is $225 and they are going to post the new schedule some time next week. There is no racing in this course but more technique on how to handle your car better. I will try and update everyone once the new dates are posted.

I'm in for a HPDE, and that course is supposed to be pretty fun.
There is a test and tune day on 2/27 at the drag strip if anyone is interested. I'm thinking of heading down there around 9ish and then leaving for the lunch meet at Harold's if anyone else is in that area and is planning on going to the deli.

3/20 might be a bit cold for tracking...I'd be down for a warmer weather event at E-town...esp since I'm only 25 min away!!!

I'm in for the event on the 20th.... as said it may still be a little cold / cool... but at least 135's wont have oil temp issues....and my 128 wont have trans cooler issues.. also tires wont overheat...
The wierd thing is i still may have my winters mounted on my "track wheels" depending on the weather... its been brutal as we all know... i guess by 3/20 it should have already stopped snowing.... I have an "EMRA" tIME tRIAL lic already from last year, and renewed it for this year. although seat time with an instructor is priceless... i just may do it a s a novice although i think i am an intermediate now.. for those local CHECK HERE >> www.emraracing.org is a great group to Time Trial with... went to 3 events last year... amazing great time.. they have events starting at Lime Rock on April 16th.. this would be a good warm up for the season..

I just may.. im going to say yes now.. i kinda like the idea of some seat time with an instructor.. although i have multiple time trial events from last year, i need to sharpen my entry and exit lines.. as smooth is fast, i admidt i think i need to be a little smoother...
Also i ordered a PBX box and am putting in e93 front sway bar in in a few weeks so i would like to try those out befor the "season" opens for EMRA. Are you going.. caravan is cool with me.. also i have a complete PIT set up ( jack/stands/watersprayer/tools/emergency repair stuff/tire temp thermometer/compressor including Brake bleed abilities etc etc etc etc The ride back from there SUCKS!!! but may be a little less traffic being that it is not spring/summer yet ...

DriveHard, if you've been at the pool hall by bellmore train station I've definitely seen your car. Unless there's another AW 1 with a 1addicts and Nurburgring sticker on the rear glass. That'd be weird. |

I'll do the 3rd if they let me run without a rollbar.
I'm local in Freeport we should all meet up for lunch one day. Also autox season is starting up and I'm tired of being the only 1er that shows up! 1.) AchtungE30 2.) DriveHard 3.) BrokenVert |

I've never been allowed to do an HPDE because of my lack of a fixed rollbar...it's always a decent question for me to ask, you know?
