255/30/19 vs. 255/35/19
Doing an aggressive fitment on my new wheels (19x8.5 and 19x9.5), and just had to place my order for tires. I was talked into the Hankook Ventus V12 by my sales guy since fitments are very limited for 255/30/19. Well I thought I was clear on my sizes, but now see in my invoice he gave me 255/35/19 instead and Hankook doesn't make a 255/30/19. For the price I want to go with them, but trying to decide wether I am better off to:
A) Keep them, should be OK B) Move to a 265/30/19 and risk rubbing but have a little extra meat C) Return and find another vendor I've bought so much from Discount Tire that they hooked me up pretty good with the tire price and TPMS that I want to stay with them. Any thoughts?

the problem is he's doing an "aggressive fitment" (correctly listed in his signature, i'm sure, as a "wrong fitment"). this makes me guess 265 isn't going to work. OP what are your offsets? anything lower than 50 in the rear, and 265 is going to cause problems. if it's as "wrong" as some of the others i've seen around here (45-35mm), even 255 could be too much.

You need AT LEAST an et50 in the rear, and that might not even cut it.

Thanks all. The wheels are from DPE who does not disclose offsets, but trust me they are not anywhere close to 50. I have already talked with Discount Tire, and unfortunately they do not carry too many 255/30/19 options, so I am going to call Gill at Tire Rack.

good call, though i'd insist to know the offsets of my wheels before ordering tires. you may even have problems with 255/30-19 depending on what DPE did for your offsets. i dont know why they bother trying to keep their offsets to themselves, like it's some big trade secret... it's just a weak little thing that prevents people like me from ever considering their wheels.

I'm not sure why, but they make some nice quality wheels. I think 255 will be fine, I will roll or pull fenders if I have to. But I told them I wanted something driveable so it will not be some crazy offset that is unusable except for sitting static at a show.

Returned my order with DTD and placed an order with Gill today.
Went with the Yokohama Advan Neova AD08. I read they run a bit wider so hopefully I can find a happy medium with ride height and camber.
