Down Pipes 1M ?
Hi
I've read here on 1M forum somewhere, the dp's for our 1M's are better performance wise than standard N54 dp's. Any proof of this saying ? Have a pair of AR catless dp's, not on the car yet had them before I got the car. Maybe no need for them ? I have the N55 midpipe on the car and is very satisfied with the sound, the AR dp's will for sure sound more, don't know if I will like it, but are the gains so big it's worth it. Will need a tune as well to get rid of the cel's when running catless.

You can check realoem.com to compare part numbers.
Are you tuned? If not tuning to take advantage of the downpipes and your already satisfied with the sound then def no reason for them regardless if they are different (which I'm pretty sure they arrnt) |

Yes, the 1M downpipes flow a bit better than those on other N54-motored models. It's been verified.
However, with an appropriate tune, you'll still realize significant gains with a catless dp, like the ARs. Neil |

Catless DP's will absolutely make a noticeable difference. As for turbo lag its virtually eliminated, which is odd because I felt even a stock 1M didnt suffer from lag very much to start. Now its a new game since I did catless DP's a few weeks back, throttle response is outstanding
 I did do a tune as well so that adds to the effect but also the sound the catless DP's offers is really nice, I am still running a stock rear sections so its quiet enough. It definitely adds some grunt but not horrible and ZERO drone which was a small concern of mine before install. Couple more crackles and pops on a chilly morning drive which never hurt anyone.. Bottle line do the DPs brother, even if you didnt have them in hand, but since you do ..  |
